Tips for Great Wedding Photos

Tips for Great Wedding Photos

  1. Planning

Before your wedding we sit down together to discuss your wedding step by step, so that it is stress-free, with plenty of time to enjoy the day and capture beautiful images without feeling rushed.

  1. Location, location, location

The location your select to do photos in plays an important role in the look and feel of your images. I am happy to help you plan your location. We can even explore different options when we meet for your engagement shoot.

  1. Have a backup plan

Sadly, weather doesn’t always fit into your schedule. That perfectly sunny, cloudless day might not materialise on your wedding day. Protect yourself from disappointment by creating a backup location for your photo shoot (…and even your wedding).

4.Take advantage of the golden hour

The two hours before sunset is when the light is simply magical. It’s at its softest and most lovely, bringing a beautiful atmosphere to your images. If you can schedule your wedding photos for this time, it’s well worth it. Of course, if this isn’t possible, don’t worry – I can find places where styling, combined with natural light, will give you beautiful results.

  1. Relax

Many people are camera-shy, and it’s normal to feel nervous at first. But don’t worry – I allow plenty of time for photography on your wedding day, and provide direction so you can relax and feel comfortable being yourself.

I recommend pretending the camera isn’t there. I ensure that every highlight is captured beautifully, as well as specially requested shots agreed beforehand – so you can relax and enjoy your special day.
